The NLL held its annual draft in late September and 3 former Jr. Shamrocks were drafted into the league.  Brody Eastwood was taken by the Calgary Roughnecks 26th while Mason Pynn went to the Saskatchewan Rush 30th overall.  Both these players have a couple of years under their belt in the WLA.  Adam Jay, who was a graduating player in the 2016 season, finishing his junior career with the Delta Islanders, was selected 32nd by the Vancouver Stealth.

In addition to the NLL draft, Jr. Shamrock player Cole Pickup who is a 2-sport athlete has accepted a hockey scholarship to the University of Nebraska, Omaha for the 2017-2018 season.
