New Head Coaches, Jr and Int Teams

General Managers Wade Murray and Tim Dennett of the Intermediate and Junior Shamrocks respectively would like to announce their Head Coaches for the 2017 season.

Intermediate

We are pleased to announce that Mike Pires has agreed to take over as Intermediate Shamrocks Head Coach.  Mike played his Minor Lacrosse in the Peninsula Organization and played Int and Jr for the Shamrocks. In 2008 at the Minto Cup Championships he was the leading scorer for all teams.  He went on to play for the Sr Shamrocks for a few years and most recently has been concentrating on coaching, last year as an Assistant Coach on the Intermediate Team.

Junior

We are pleased to announce that the new Head Coach for the Junior Rocks will be Terry Dennett.  Terry played his Minor Lacrosse in the Juan de Fuca Organization. He played 4 years with the Junior A Victoria Eagles and Sr A for the Rocks. He also played one season in the NLL with Calgary. He has also represented Scotland at the world level as a player both in Box and Field Lacrosse. Most recently he was an Assistant Coach with the Int Shamrocks helping to lead them to Provincial Gold in 2015.  Last year Terry was an Assistant Coach with both the Jr and Sr Shamrocks.

Both of these Coaches bring a wealth of experience to our teams and we are confident they will be great Head Coaches.  Congratulations to both.  Now the work begins on rounding out the Assistant Coaching Staff.
